Dr. Laura Kiszkiel is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with more than 15 years of experience in the field. After many years in private practice, she came to the Advanced Delivery Program at 黑料专区 with a desire to provide top-quality and compassionate care for women whose birthing experience has been altered by an unexpected prenatal diagnosis. She enjoys connecting with patients and trying to give each one the delivery that they desire. When not at work, she loves to spend time with her husband, 2 daughters, and her 2 dogs.
Why I Am an Ob/Gyn With the Advanced Delivery Program
I have always loved providing obstetric care and performing deliveries. After more than a decade in a busy private practice, I felt called to find a way to practice where I could better focus on my patients in the delivery room and their experience. Patients who deliver here have already had so much fear and uncertainty during their pregnancy and they deserve to be cared for by somebody with excellent clinical skills but with an even better bedside manner. I love practicing in a place where the care is so specialized that I am able to truly focus on each patient and provide the focus and attention that truly helps to elevate their birthing experience.
What I'm Passionate About
I am passionate about caring for women during some of their most joyful and vulnerable times. I love the sheer awe that I still experience at every birth. I am so thankful to be able to do what I do.
How I Try to Make A Difference
I believe in continuous improvement. I am constantly seeking to refine my skillset and the system that I work within to be able to provide the best, most patient- and family-centered care that I can. I work as a physician advocate for the Connected Caregivers initiative that works to allow the non-birthing parent to accompany their baby to the ICU when they leave the delivery room. I am also passionate about breastfeeding and will be working with a committee to refine how we approach breastfeeding/breastmilk in the hospital. 聽
