Why I Am an OB/GYN With the Advanced Delivery Program
I chose to specialize in OB/GYN because I believe deeply in the power of bringing new life into the world safely and compassionately. My focus on the Advanced Delivery Program stems from my commitment to provide high-level, evidenced-based care to mothers and babies, especially in complex or high-risk situations. Managing mothers in the Advanced Delivery Unit affords me the opportunity to work with a great team that is prepared and communicates effectively — both critical to improving outcomes and experiences during delivery.Â
What I'm Passionate About
I’m passionate about being present during one of the most meaningful moments in a person’s life — the birth of their child. It’s an incredible privilege to support patients and their families through the delivery process and I never take that for granted. I do my best to offer not only clinical expertise but also calm, steady support throughout labor and delivery. That connection being there in those moments continues to inspire me and ground me in this work.
During time off I enjoy running, spending time with family, and watching sports.
I am an avid EAGLES fan!!
How I Try to Make A Difference
I strive to make a difference by being present and truly listening to my patients. In a busy medical environment, taking the time to hear someone’s concerns can profoundly impact their care. I also work closely with nursing and physician teams to continually improve communication and responsiveness on our unit. My goal is always to blend compassion with clinical excellence to make childbirth and women’s health care safer, more respectful, and more patient centered.
